What I Notice as a Photographer That No One Else Does (From behind the lens, where the real magic lives)
There’s something funny about being a wedding photographer, once you’ve trained your eye to see moments, you can’t unsee them. While everyone else is focused on the big, obvious parts of the day, I’m quietly noticing the in-between. The subtle. The fleeting. The things you didn’t even realize were happening.
And honestly? Those are the moments that end up meaning the most.

The Micro-Moments
I see the way your hands instinctively reach for each other when no one is watching. The deep breath you take right before walking down the aisle. The way your mom smooths your dress one last time, holding it together just as much as she’s holding herself together.
These moments are gone in seconds—but they tell your story in a way nothing else can.

The People Behind You
While you’re focused on your partner, I’m watching your people. Your dad blinking back tears during the ceremony. Your best friend hyping you up in the corner. Your grandparents holding hands during your first dance because it reminds them of their own.
There are entire stories unfolding in the background of your day and I make sure they’re never missed.

The Energy of a Room
Every wedding has a rhythm, a feeling, an energy that shifts throughout the day. I notice when nerves turn into excitement. When quiet anticipation becomes celebration. When the dance floor goes from hesitant to completely unhinged (my favorite part, by the way).
That energy? It’s something I photograph just as intentionally as your portraits.

The Details You Didn’t Think Mattered
Not just the big details—the dress, the florals, the rings—but the small ones. The way your shoes are kicked off under your table halfway through the night. The crumpled tissue from your vows. The lipstick mark on a champagne glass.
These are the things that bring you right back into the moment years from now.

The Way You Look at Each Other
This one might be my favorite. Because it’s never just one look—it’s a hundred different ones throughout the day.
The nervous, excited look before the ceremony. The soft, emotional look during your vows. The “we did it” look during your first dance. And the completely carefree, joy-filled look when you’re on the dance floor surrounded by your favorite people.
Those looks? That’s your story.

Why This Matters
Anyone can take a photo of what’s happening. But my job—what I truly care about—is capturing what it felt like.
The moments you missed. The emotions you didn’t realize you showed. The memories that deserve to be remembered, not just posed for.
Because at the end of the day, your wedding isn’t just a series of events—it’s a collection of moments. And I’m there to see them all.
